Hadn't been much since the beginning of 2009. Work hadn't been nice, people at work hadn't been nice, bosses aren't so nice anymore compared to the good times.

I think everyone is kinna at the edge during this recession. You can't help but feel the anxiety in the air sometimes.

But life goes on, there are people that still find ways to have some fun during this hard times. Looking for a breather somewhere... I'd love to take a break and go holiday with a small group of friends that you care about and just spend time laugh together at anything under the sky.

Anyway, got a treat from mom today. I'd been hearing about this place Jagoya so many times but hadn't really had a chance to go try it out. Been to Gonbei in Starhill before but not Jagoya. Since they are having this buy one free one promotion, mom decided to give us a family treat...

Some say that the food there is not as nice as when it just started business, but I think it's quite alright. And I definately had more than I suppose to today. Ate so much fish, served in all different ways (chinese cruisine, tepanyaki, sashimi,etc) I think I'll be avoiding any sort of fish for a while. Sorry not much pictures to show because was busy eating not long after sitting down.

After 2 hours of non-stop eating, to end the entire gluttony event, we had Hagan Daze ice-cream as closing. Not bad that bad after all. *bloated*

My name is Rishka. This is my testimony of how God did miracles and touched my daughter, Annatte, and I.

Annatte was born prematurely at seven months at University Hospital, PJ. She was very small, weighing only 715 grammes at birth. She had to stay in the hospital for another three months until she was more than one kilogramme.

When Annatte was eight months old, she came down with chronic lung disease and was admitted to Ipoh Hospital's paediatric ICU (Intensive Care Unit) ward. She was put on a ventilator for two weeks. The doctor told me that Annatte's condition was bad � the ventilator had to be set high, which was not good for her brain, lungs and heart. Annatte's life was in danger and there was no hope for her to live long. I was very worried.

A lady attendant at the hospital told me about God and asked me to pray. A friend and I went to this lady's church. At the church, I asked Jesus for my daughter's life to be spared. When I came back from the church, my daughter's condition was still the same but I didn't give up. I kept praying to God and on the second day, a miracle happened. The ventilator could be reduced by 20%. The doctor was surprised at this. Day after day, Annatte got better and better and the ventilator was reduced more and more.

I went to this lady's church again and prayed hard. God touched my daughter and I - Annatte opened her eyes. The doctor then removed Annatte from the ventilator but since her body still needed oxygen, the doctor put a breathing tube into her nose.

The doctor was concerned that Annatte was not thriving and took an echo diagram of Annatte's heart. He told me that Annatte had a hole in her heart (ASD). I was very upset and didn't know what to do. They asked me to go to IJN (National Heart Institute) in KL to make an appointment for my daughter. I didn't have the finances to go to IJN. I stayed at the Ipoh hospital for another six months.

During that time, a dengue patient was admitted beside my daughter's bed. The sick boy is from a Chinese Christian family. One day, the pastor of that family's church came to visit the boy and saw that my daughter was very small. The pastor and church members helped me by raising money for me to bring Annatte to IJN. That church helped me for two years until my daughter became strong and active.

The IJN doctors decided to do surgery on Annatte when she was three years old. God did miracles in my daughter's life many times. I would ask God for what I needed for my daughter and the next day, I would receive it from church members. I accepted Jesus because he is the only true God.

Synopsis :

This little girl one day told her mom that she wants her mom to buy her KLCC. Being a single mom Riskha was shocked of how will it be possible to buy her daughter KLCC (the real thing). But little Anatte smiled and told her mom that she only wants a small KLCC. She will pray with her mom before she goes to bed that God will bless her mom with more earnings so that she can buy her KLCC.

Least to thier expectations, Riskha went to an event one night and she was given two tickets, in her heart she had dedicated one of the lucky draw ticket to Anatte thinking in her heart that the number will be Anatte's "lucky" number. True enough Anatte's "lucky number" was called and guess what was the lucky draw prize???!!!! *grins* Awww you are so smart...

Wonderful isn't it?? *grins*
During the moment when i heard the testimony first hand, it was so touching to see that little girl's smile, honestly I can almost felt warm tears around my eyes.
Someone once asked me when I told him bout this little girl and the mother, he asked " What could she possibly done to deserve to be born with such misfortune?"
That question did bother me more than a little.... but on Sunday ... I knew.. I knew that God will take care of this little girl because she is as dear to Him as anyone else that He'd created "Normal"; because He loves her just as much and maybe more....

It had been almost a year of working. The only time that I feel that working is worth it and it does mean something is when I was shopping or going for a holiday.

I love holiday, though it's expensive and it will only last me less than a week.
(from what I am earning now)... But somehow it just have this magic of bring you away... away from everything that you ever know...
That's why you will want to bring all your love ones with you so you don't feel that you have left them behind.

Oh well, I had my share of holiday this year. With a bunch of high school friend and a tag along Uni coursemate. :p There was a total of 15 of us.

It came just on time, I was really getting frustrated at work, and it already reached the stage where even your bf can't stand you complaining anymore and you just wanted to scream.
You know that things are not that bad, but some how it is just not the way you want it to be.
You know what I mean?

*Sorry your birthday limelight for this year got stolen by a pair of twin girls. But if you do happen to read this post haha you shall be entitled to claim a meal from me*

After working today, I rushed to the hospital because my mom called and said that the twins were born.
They were so tiny, they weren't identical, they were test tube babies.
Before they were conceived, there were a debate that had been going on.
Whether having test tube babies is against God's will because it's not conceived 'naturally'.
But then again, if it's not God's Will, it can failed even if they'd tried for a hundred times, doesn't it???

Anyway, their parents went ahead trusting, as they lay it all before Him.
And they made it, in the first try, and it was a TWIN!!!
Everyone got excited about (no one after that remember about the debate huha!!)
And today these two little girl was born in COLUMBIA ASIA HOSPITAL.
And amazingly one look like the dad and the other like the mom. (Blessed!!!)
Instantly you can tell which is daddy's favorite ( of cause is the one that look like him la)
It's amazing seeing the way both the proud parents look at them.
I guess in a way having them when it was almost impossible to conceive meant a lot to both the parent.

On day one, you can already tell which will be the bossy, active & independent one
( the older twin - Gloria) & and which the other gentler, softer & manja (the younger twin - Gracia).
According to the mother, they were already like that when they were in the womb. Haha they were only one minute apart, yet on the first day itself they'd prove themselves to be very different from each other.
Mommy is gonna dress them in different colors - one in pink and the other in purple. She didn't say, but I'm guessing the older one will get purple. LOLz.

I don't have any pictures of them. But I think I will get them soon. haha can't wait to see them in tiny dressing and running around with the pampers (like penguins) hahah...

Ok Ok I know i might be overly excited about someone else's babies.
I just love babies.
I'd always thought when they smile at you it just melt your heart, don't they melt yours??? (some may say it's just thier muscle moving, they are not smiling)
But still... well at least to me it can really really make my day.
(ok I admit too that , at these moment i love babies because they aren't mine and when they cry and poo i get to pass them back to the parents). :p

Ooh I left out a best part of the whole visit.
Three months earlier, there were another new addition too to CBC Puchong.
His name is Justin 王子义， the name simply means "王子" Prince of "义" Justice.
Anyway he was only three months old, and his dad enter in to the room and said to him:
" ok there's two for you choose, make sure you pick the right one" *pengsan*

And seriously, sure enough, he (baby Justin) was staring at Gracia!!!! all the time !!!
(well at least for 2 minutes, until the nurse came in and say need to bring the babies for check- ups)
But can you imagine that... sigh Babies now a days. ish ish....

Holiday - Camerons

Working life had begun to be a little routine, and a few of us decided that we needed a break. And just hang out with friends, even if it would mean just over the weekend.
And thus it had been decided to be CAMERON @ 4th April 2008.
*suprisingly it work out and happened* grateful that it did.

But the practicing didn't really work out, mostly failed products lolz. All the nice nice pics are with DJ Tan. SO will have to get from him first lo.. but here's some pics from the trip. *grins*

On the 186th Day of my working life...

Today I'd officially been working for 6 months.
I'm still missing Uni life, but now it had seem so far away...
I am beginning to like my job (i think) but at least according to someone- I'd stop complaining.
The first few months was bad, I guess now looking back it was all just me.
I'd ended up with this job without much effort maybe that's why it took me longer to appreciate it.

I'd been thinking whether this job will have a future? How long will I stay?
Could I have find a better job if I'd waited longer and given more effort in looking?
Those were the thoughts that was running through my mind every single day until I got confirmed.
In my previous post I'd mentioned that there were 12 management trainees.
Now there are only 7 left. More than half so i'm guessing it's a good sign.

I was just thinking, do we often want something that other people have?
Other people's things always seems better... other people's life always seems better...
I know I know that's = GREED.
But isn't it the drive to want a better life yourselve?
I guess the danger is when one no longer know how to cherish and appreciate...
Evryday we are constantly making decisions, some little ones that we might not even notice.
But with every significant decisions that we make in life, i guess we will just have to remember that we had made that decision on the best interest at that moment of time. And that it should not have any regrets when we look back.
I guess I was glad that I choose to stay with the company even when i almost made the choice to leave...
I guess there were 'someone' else that knows my interest better than my own.
When I was still thinking that other people is doing better than me, when i believe that I deserved better than what I have now.... that 'someone' else knows what had been installed for me....
Right till this moment, I still don't know what had been installed for me...
Will therefore take one day at a time... and pray for the best...

I will be having yet another job scope starting next week...
With fingers crossed I hoped it will meet my expectations and I can meet the management's expectations and preformed....
*anxious*

So sad huh working life.... any suggestion on how to make working life interesting???

Everyday you open up the newspaper...
It'll tell you how dangerous the world is...
Somewhere, someone got into an accident, went missing... got robbed.. raped....
When your love one say to you:" Be careful darling, take care of yourself."
Because you think that bad things like that will not happen to you...
So you answered:" OK." and smile then forget about it....

I'd almost got robbed on sunday...
Oh I'm just very very thankful that it was only an 'almost'
Didn't even dare to imagine what worst could have happened...
Ok here's the story...

One of my close friend..
The ones that you kinna grow together at a stage of your life
Yea... those kind of close friend...
Her name is Crystal and she will be getting married this 2nd of February...
( I might consider sharing their love story here one day )
So we had a bridal shower at "hers" soon to be 'house' at Damansara Utama....
I hadn't seen most of the people in the party for ages..
Kinna miss the whole bunch of them...
So I'd decided to stay a little later than I planned...
Besides I love her for taking the opportunity to share her testimony
with her non-christian friend...
Especially now that the divorce rate is so high...
People just lose confidence in marriages...
(it's gonna be another long post on that)

So I'd left around 10.30pm (not that late also right)...
I went to my car with another two girls... (Esther and JL)
When we were already approaching my car...
A bike came out of no where... with 2 men on it... (too dark can't tell whether malay or indian also)
One of them 'touched' my friend...( I think he tried to grab her hand bag)
But at that moment I thought he was only 'teasing' ~~(molesting)~~ because he was SMILING... ( can you imagine how crazy he must have been? he thinks it's FUN!!!)
Until they stopped and got off the bike and start running towards us...
JL shouted "RUN!!!" only it occur to me that he was trying to robbed us...
I just ran back to my friends house as fast as I could and started shouting for help...
When we were reaching... i heard a scream... my heart stopped...
I prayed that he didn't managed to grab any of my friend...
When I turned back I didn't see Esther...
(everything happened so fast... couldn't tell you all the trillion thought that was running through my head that moment)
She fell... but thankfully the two men was gone that time...
I don't exactly know why they'd stopped chasing...
But I know that we were protected by the Big Guy up there...

They could have chase us with the bike instead of running after us...
That way we could never out ran them...

They could have brought with them a knife or something..
According to the guard that arrived later on...
Just last week a girls hand gotten 'cut' when she got robbed in the same neighbourhood...

I just couldn't imagine all that could have happened that night...
What if i'd walked to my car alone...
Or anything happened to Esther....

I just thank God that it was all as if only just a bad dream...
The bottomline is... "GIRLS BE CAREFUL!!!"
It could happen to anyone...
Just keep that in mind... I'd learned my lesson...
I was thankful not only that I was not harmed...
I think I was even more thankful that nothing happened to Ester and JL ...
I also don't know what I'll do if I were safe and something bad happened to any of them...

So be careful ... not only for your own sake...
But also for the people that cares for you ok...

Today, I just felt grateful for many things in my life...
Though there are things that I'd lost...
Somehow one way or another, there will be another blessing that comes along.

Some people might say that life isn't fair.
I'd say I'm contented with the things that I am blessed with.

I believe one will feel life's unfair if we kept comparing ourselves with those that are more fortunate than us.
But if we are to compare with those that are least fortunate (it's still unfair), we will learn to see it as a blessing of having what we have today.

I'm saying that I'm thankful for being blessed beyond what I deserved...

2007 - 2008

Its the beginning of another year.
New year this year was just like another usual day.
Or was it suppose to be just another day?
Anyway I considered the company annual dinner held on the 29th Dec as the New Year's eve. Oh well... at least there was a buffet dinner..

and people dressed up for it...

The theme was 'Hawaiian night'... Did I mentioned that the guy won 'MR HAWAIIAN" LoL.

my direct lady boss.... we both don't look Hawaiian at all... ^.^

Went New Year shopping with mom on the first day of 2008.
Saw Christmas deco in Mid Valley after Christmas...

Well it had been great burning holes in the wallet....
Don't be jealous...
I just felt that the reason to work the rest of my life
was all just because for that reason - shopping.
Which makes my aim to work till...
I can shop without needing to see the price tag... mauahahaha...

And today it's exactly one year when my dad went 'home'.

we dug a hole to put in a vase with spoon and fork.
and then when we finally finishing digging hole and burry the vase into the ground...
the guard came and say we can't do that... =.="
He say will let us leave it for few days and he'll take it out after that. #_#

It had been a year... time really flies...
I don't exactly know how we'd survive but I guess by the grace of God... we did.
At times ... most of the time I'd missed him...
Somethings and sometimes ... like times when your room door gotten lock....
your bathroom pipes leaking... the heater doesn't work....
These were the things that he will have a solution to when he's around...
Now that he's gone... somehow... as day passes we just have to move on..
Learn to open the room door with a card..
To not be afraid of the dark when the lights are not working....
To climb that ladder and fix those lights....
Somehow... we still miss him ... even during times when it's all well...

And somehow with the joy of the Lord... we are still able to smile ..
Knowing that our Father in Heaven are taking care of all of us...

May 2008 be a better year!!!
